The Third Annual Wicomico County Fair was held last weekend at the Winterplace complex off Hobbs Road and Route 50 was a huge success. While the Farm Show was a long-standing tradition here on the Shore, it became an official fair three years ago due to the work of County Executive Bob Culver.
Along with the standard contests found at the event – like best vegetables, preserves, canning – the events also featured rodeo and tractor pulls. Many running for elected offices also had booths in order to meet and greet County residents. A parade featuring floats from each of the towns within the Wicomico County area happened on Saturday afternoon to mark the halfway point in the weekend festivities.
