SALISBURY, MD – Last night at the Shorebird’s Perdue Stadium, Wicomico County’s 150th Anniversary was celebrated. County Executive Bob Culver threw out the first pitch of the night!

The county employees were out in force as they celebrated Shorebird style the county’s monumental anniversary. Maryland State Senator Jim Mathias, Delegates Charles Otto and Carl Anderton, County Councilman John Hall, Wicomico Sheriff Mike Lewis along with Sherman, the Shorebirds’ mascot were all on hand to celebrate.

The Shorebirds played against the Hickory Crawdads from North Carolina at this special home game for the County. Even though our team lost, a great time was shared by all!

In commemoration of 150 years, the tickets were $1.50 each.
