SALISBURY, MD – This morning in Downtown Salisbury, the cupola for the Wicomico County Courthouse was raised on the clock tower, where the clocks were installed last Monday.
The original cupola was removed due to it’s condition and age. Because of rotting wood, they were unable to put a lightning rod through its steeple, so the decision was made to create a new one that retained the original’s design.
Made of copper and rebuilt by Bill Mathews, the posts were created by Mark at Easton Millwork.
Earlier this month, new clocks were raised as well.
